Loft 408

Lowell, MA

Residential Interior Renovation
2018 - present
750 SF

Once the headquarters of J.C. Ayer Co., an apothecary and patent medicine manufacturer in the late 1800’s, the brick and timber building was originally converted in 2001 as artist housing with concrete floors and a ground level art gallery in the building.

Beginning with repainting the walls with a coat of limewash paint, I undertook renovations in all spaces. An ongoing project, Loft 408 is a place of design experimentation filled with antiques, natural objects, and art collected and displayed. I’ve slowly collected some of my favorite design icons, mixed in with current find. It is now also my home studio space and shared with a pet rabbit named Sylvie.
